Korean cleansers
with a low pH: our selection
A cleanse that leaves your skin squeaky clean but uncomfortable a minute later isn't a good cleanse. A pH close to your skin's own really makes a difference.
The principle
Why choose a low-pH cleanser?
Skin naturally has an acid mantle, with a pH of around 4.5 to 5.5. This protection helps balance the skin microbiome and limits water loss. A cleanser that's too alkaline disrupts this balance: skin feels tight, produces more sebum to compensate and becomes more reactive.
Be careful: low pH doesn't automatically mean an ideal formula. Overly stripping surfactants or excessive use also cause discomfort. The goal remains a gentle formula suited to your skin.

For your skin
Which cleanser to choose for your skin
For oily, breakout-prone skin, go for a gel texture that clears sebum without attacking the barrier. For dehydrated combination skin, the trap is treating shine with a cleanser that's too strong — it's better to keep the T-zone clear without being harsh on the cheeks.
“The right cleanser is the one you can use every day without your skin feeling tight.”
The technique
How to use a low-pH cleanser properly
In the morning, a small amount is enough. Massage onto damp skin for around thirty seconds, then rinse with lukewarm water. In the evening, if you wear make-up or SPF, add a make-up removal step first. After rinsing, quickly apply a hydrating toner so your skin isn't left waiting.
